BTU International to Discuss Continuous Processing Capability at The Battery Show 2013

NORTH BILLERICA, Mass., Aug 27, 2013— BTU International, Inc. today announced that it will highlight its controlled atmosphere furnaces in Booth #B1545 at The Battery Show, scheduled to take place September 17-19, 2013, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Detroit, Michigan.

“Battery technology is a key enabler to a number of important alternative energy initiatives. We’re excited about the rate of innovation and the industry potential,” said Don Seccombe, director of research and development at BTU. “Our thermal process systems offer manufacturers major advantages in increased output, reduced cycle-time and footprint reductions not to mention improved yields,” added Seccombe.

BTU’s controlled atmosphere furnaces are available with temperature ranges up to 1800°C and with various process atmospheres including hydrogen, nitrogen and argon. Excellent atmosphere purity is achieved through the use of BTU’s patented gas barrier technology. In addition, BTU’s proprietary hybrid microwave technology can offer step-function improvement in cycle-time and footprint to manufacturers using traditional methods.

For nearly 60 years, BTU International has been the trusted name for high-tech customers with a need to solve high-volume thermal processing challenges. With over 10,000 tools shipped, BTU is recognized for its design, manufacture and support of advanced thermal processing equipment.
