BTU International Wins 2026 Mexico Technology Award for Aurora Vacuum™ Reflow Innovation
WESTFORD, Mass., October 8, 2026 – BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing market, today announced that its Aurora Vacuum™ Reflow Oven received a 2026 Mexico Technology Award in the Reflow category. The award was presented during a ceremony held before SMTA Guadalajara 2026 on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
The Aurora Vacuum™ Reflow Oven represents a new generation of vacuum reflow technology designed to help manufacturers achieve superior solder quality, reduce voiding, and improve production yields for increasingly complex electronic assemblies. As demand grows for AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, automotive electronics, and advanced packaging applications, manufacturers require reflow solutions that deliver both exceptional process control and high-volume production capability.
Engineered for demanding manufacturing environments, Aurora Vacuum™ combines advanced vacuum technology with a high-throughput architecture optimized for large-format PCBs and dual-lane production. Its spacious vacuum chamber accommodates boards up to 620 × 711 mm, providing the flexibility needed for today’s large, high-density assemblies.
The system incorporates several innovations designed to improve solder quality and process stability, including soft-start vacuum control to minimize component disturbance, an independently heated vacuum chamber for precise thermal management, and low-vibration conveyor and vacuum systems to protect sensitive assemblies during processing. Three independent conveyors further enhance throughput while maintaining consistent process control.
Built for advanced manufacturing applications, the Aurora Vacuum™ Reflow Oven delivers reliable void reduction and repeatable thermal performance for industries where solder integrity is critical, including AI server hardware, networking equipment, automotive, aerospace and defense, power electronics, and advanced packaging.
“We developed Aurora Vacuum to address the evolving requirements of today’s most demanding electronics manufacturers,” said Rob DiMatteo, General Manager. “Achieving low voiding is only part of the challenge. Manufacturers also need repeatable performance, high throughput, and the ability to process larger and more complex assemblies. Aurora Vacuum delivers the thermal precision and production stability required to maximize yields and support the next generation of electronic products. We are honored that the Mexico Technology Awards recognized this innovation.”
The Mexico Technology Awards recognize the most recent technological innovations in Mexico’s manufacturing landscape, spotlighting achievements by OEM manufacturing equipment and materials suppliers over the past year. For more information about the awards, please visitwww.mexicoems.com/mta-awards.
