BTU Statement on COVID-19
Operations during Coronavirus Pandemic
Statement updated on March 24, 2020
BTU International and Bruce Technologies are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and impact to our business, customers and suppliers. We are following all mandated as well as voluntary guidelines for the safety of our employees, customers and suppliers. Travel and face-to-face interactions have been discouraged or restricted in many countries. Due to these restrictions, our onsite field support may be limited or not available. We provide the following update on our operations affected:
United States Operations – Billerica, Massachusetts
On March 23, 2020 the State of Massachusetts issued an order for non-essential businesses to close operations for 2 weeks beginning March 24, 2020 through April 7, 2020. BTU will comply with this order closing operations at this facility for the allotted time. BTU/Bruce call centers for product sales, parts sales and 24/7 technical support remain operational. Immediate support for essential industries using BTU products will be prioritized and addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Europe Operations – United Kingdom
BTU’s European operations are following all country specific mandates and restrictions. Call centers for product sales, parts sales and 24/7 technical support remain operational. Onsite face-to-face restrictions are in force limiting onsite service requests. Please check with your regional sales or service contacts for up to date information.
China Operations – Shanghai, PRC
BTU’s Shanghai operations are back to full capacity with little disruption. Restrictions due to COVID-19 within the Peoples Republic of China are easing. All services including production of our reflow ovens are at normal levels.
