Built by the Original Manufacturer

The BDF heater core is the thermal heart of your horizontal diffusion furnace. Its geometry, winding pattern, and material set were engineered specifically for the BDF platform. A heater core that merely fits isn't the same as one that performs — and in high-temperature semiconductor processing, that difference matters.

Stock a Spare Before You Need One

Heater cores are consumable components with a finite service life. In a horizontal diffusion furnace, an unexpected heater failure means furnace downtime — and in semiconductor manufacturing, downtime is expensive. Lead times for replacement cores are not trivial.

Facilities that operate Bruce diffusion furnaces are well-advised to maintain at least one spare OEM heater core on-site. Stocking a spare allows you to:

  • Swap immediately at end of life rather than waiting on manufacturing lead time
  • Plan heater replacement during scheduled maintenance windows instead of reacting to failures
  • Avoid expediting costs and emergency procurement
  • Protect wafer throughput and production schedules
  • Minimize unplanned process requalification events

Applications

OEM BDF heater cores support horizontal diffusion furnace processes including:

  • Thermal oxidation
  • Annealing
  • Drive-in diffusion
  • Doping processes
  • LPCVD and related high-temperature treatments
  • Specialty materials processing
  • Original design specifications

manufactured to the same engineering standards as the original equipment

  • Purpose-built for horizontal diffusion furnaces

geometry and thermal profile matched to the BDF platform

  • High-temperature material set

selected specifically for diffusion, oxidation, and anneal environments

  • Optimized thermal uniformity

reducing drift, variability, and requalification risk after replacement

  • Drop-in compatibility

designed to fit existing BDF furnace hardware without modification

  • Over 30 years of BDF design expertise

backed by decades of Bruce horizontal furnace engineering knowledge
